BJP retains Three Assembly seats out of Four in Assam By-polls 2019

With the final declaration of the results of by-polls in Assam, BJP managed to retain three seats in the states- Ratabari (SC), Sonari and Rangapara, however, failed to conquer in the Muslim majority Jania.

In Rangapara (SC) Rajen Borthakur for BJP came out victorious with 50,154 votes against Congress candidate Kartik Kurmi.

On the other hand, speaking to media, MP Dilip Saikia and State BJP secretary Kishore Upadhay at Orang expresses their satisfaction with the by-poll results.
