Ex-AAGSU president Prem Tamang joins BJP

In a boost to the BJP former All Assam Gorkha Students' Union (AAGSU) president Prem Tamang, along with more than three hundred members of the organisation on Thursday has joined the saffron party. They joined the ruling party in a meeting held at the PWD Auditorium, Dispur. The new entrants were welcomed to the party by chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, health minister Himanta Biswa Sharma and state BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass. The new-entrants of the party include among others, Krishna Bhujel, Sanjeev Chetri, Shankar Lama, Raju Tamang, Purna Chetri.
