Habitat Loss leads to rise in Man-Elephant Conflict in West Karbi Anglong's Kheroni | 25 Dec, 2019

Once again a herd of elephants sneaked into the Hawaipur area under Kheroni Forest Division on Tuesday night destroyed at least 20 residences in West Karbi Anglong's Kheroni on Monday night.

Locals alleged that Forest Department failed to take satisfactory action as earlier on December 22, a woman was killed reportedly after being trampled by a herd of elephants.
