Kokrajhar District Administration bans Mela and Gambling

The Kokrajhar district administration has banned any kind of mela and gambling in the district.

Kokrajhar deputy commissioner Partha Pratim Mazumdar said that the district administration has banned any kind of mela or gambling in the district since the last three months.

A delegation team from Bodoland Students Union (BSU) under the leadership of president Kokrajhar District Bodoland Students Union (BSU) Derhasat Brahma, Ringkang Borgoyary general secretary of the union along with other leaders of the union and conscious citizens today meet the Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner at his office chamber and urged him to check the anti-social activities which is on the rise in and around Kokrajhar town, stops unseasonal mela, gambling, use of drugs.
