Margherita ADC convenes meeting to take stock of Covid 19 situation

In order to take stock of the situation in respect of the growing numbers of Covid-19 infected persons in the state, ADC of Margherita Sub-Division, Tinsukia Samprity Goswami convened a meeting on April 22 in the conference hall of the Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer with the officials of the Margherita Municipality Board and Digboi Municipality Board and members of the various bazaar committees of Margherita and Digboi bazaars.

The meeting was also attended by the other officials of the Civil Department.

The latest Standard Operating procedure for Covid-19 was discussed and Goswami urged the members present in the meeting to co-operate with the administration in containing the second wave of Covid-19 virus.

The officials of the municipal board were advised to collect the garbage and sanitize the market areas after 6:00 pm regularly. The members of the bazaar committee were advised to ask individual shopkeepers to keep their shops sanitized, aided with soaps and water for hand wash and maintain proper social distance in the shops and the market area.

The compulsory use of masks was stressed upon and it was stated that the administration would invariably impose fines on the citizens for not following the norms laid by the government.
