Microphones playing bird sound recovered from Laokhowa Wildlife Sanctuary

Upon receiving information regarding, hunting of migratory birds, a team from Laokhowa Wildlife Sanctuary was send at night in agriculture fields near Juria and some microphones playing bird sound was recovered.

A search operation was done in the morning and found around 16 number of purple moor hens (schedule IV) and cages along with microphones, loud speakers, nets etc left in the agriculture field.

All items were seized and search is on going to apprehend the poachers. Information has been received that these birds are home delivered to Nagaon town and other places for eating.
