Popular actress Prastuti Parasar urges government to lift restriction on mobile theatre

Prastuti Parasar, popular Assamese actress and producer of a prominent mobile theatre group, has urged the Jorhat district administration to lift the restriction imposed upon holding shows by mobile theatres. Earlier, the district administration had restricted mobile theatre groups to holding shows as a part of its coronavirus precautionary measures. The administration also imposed restriction upon performance of bhaona. Expressing concern over the administration move, the actress said to media that it will create livelihood problems within 150 families of theatre artistes.
