Powerful IED recovered in Digboi

A team of Army and CRPF personnel recovered a powerful IED in the outskirts of Digboi. Members of Army's bomb disposal squad reached the site and denoted the IED. The area has been cordoned off and security tightened. The IED was found about 2 kms away from Digboi town near the NH 38 and rail track. Digboi, in Assam is known for its oil fields. Army is investigating the manner.
