"Release Akhil Gogoi for his appropriate medical treatment", agitated public demands in Jorhat

Demanding immediate release of KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi and other leaders, agitated protesters in Jorhat staged a mass protest in front of Deputy Commissioner's Office on Wednesday morning.

The protesters also demanded scrapping of the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019.

Speaking before the media, the agitated protesters urged the Government of Assam to release Akhil Gogoi for his appropriate medical treatment.

Similarly, protesters under the aegis of 'CAA Birodhi Nagarik Manch' staged a mass protest demanding immediate release of peasant leader Akhil Gogoi in Biswanath District today as well as in Nagaon's Kampur.

In Guwahati, members of CAA Birodhi Nagarik Manch', CAA Sangsudhoni Aain Birodhi Samanay Samiti, Sanmilitoh Sangram Parishad, CAA Birodhi Chatra Samaj staged mass protest demanding immediate release of peasant leader Akhil Gogoi at Rotary point.

It may be mentioned that KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi was shifted to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) again on Wednesday morning due to bad health. He is being constantly monitored by a team of doctors inside the central jail premises.
