Romailo Tihar biday (Farewell) festival celebration in Sonitpur

The Gorkha community people on Sunday (December 13) celebrated 'Romalo Tihar biday' Utsav (festival) at Chariduar, Sootea constituency of Sonitpur district of Assam. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Sootea constituency, Padma Hazarika and, Prem Tamang, chairman of the newly formed Gurkha Development Council were present at the event. Speaking at the occasion MLA Hazarika said, "The Gorkhas are an integral part of the larger Assamese nation which is incomplete without them. I will always come forward and stand next to them if any problem arises."
