Sixth Day: Two State Ministers visit Dulal Paul's Family in Dhekiajuli
On Friday evening, under the direction of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, State Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya and State Handloom, Textile and Sericulture Minister Ranjit Dutta visited the family members of the Dulal Paul in Dhekiajuli and urged them to accept his body, however, the family members refused to accept the body on the sixth day.
The family members urged the ministers to provide justice to deceased Dulal Paul by declaring him an Indian national.
Notably, the Assam government had ordered a magisterial probe into the death of Dulal Paul.
Furthermore, the agitated family members of the deceased had refused to accept the body until he is declared an Indian National.
Dulal Paul was declared a Bangladeshi by a Foreigners' Tribunal in 2017 and lodged at the Tezpur Jail-cum Detention Centre.
