The Janagostio Oikya Mancha announced series of agitation programme in Tinsukia

The Janagostio Oikya Mancha at a press meet held in Tinsukia has announced to launch series of democratic agitation programme to protest against the failure of State and Central Government failure to take steps so far to grant Schedule Tribe [ST] status to the Six indigenous communities of Assam namely Tai- Ahom, Moran, Mattack, Tea-Tribes, Koch-Rajbongshi and Chutia in spite of assurances given several times. The leaders of the organization also informed about the other issue of protest that is opposing the Citizenship [Amendment] Bill 2016. Leaders of the Six indigenous organizations were present in the press meet.
