Three day trail in Dr Deben Dutta lynching case begins at Jorhat District and Sessions Judge
The three day trial in the case of Dr Deben Dutta lynching case began from November 4, 2019 in the court of Jorhat district and sessions judge.
On the first day of the trial, three eye witnesses out of 60 were summoned before court of Jorhat district and session's judge and their statement were recorded.
It is to be noted that Dr Deben Dutta, a senior medical officer of Teok tea estate in Upper Assam's Jorhat district, was lynched by a mob on August 31 at the hospital of the tea estate.
Furthermore, the special investigation team had filed the charge sheet against 32 accused on September 23.
