Titabor Women staged massive protest against Micro Finance Companies

On Friday, several woman protesters under the aegis of AJYCP, KMSS among others came out in numbers in Titabor's Borhola area to protest against the Micro Finance Companies in the State.

It is being alleged that several micro finance companies are jacking up interest rates barely a week after releasing loans, thus, forcing women borrowers to pawn off jewelry or household items, sell livestock, farm produce and even land so as to return the loan at extortionate rates of interest.
