Uproar in Lumding after mysterious death of 14 year old minor girl, Locals gheraoes Police Station

Tensed situation in Lumding after a 14 year old minor girl was allegedly killed by a family on October 17, 2019.

As per reports, the minor girl was working as maid servant at a resident of one Sadhan Chakraborty was allegedly killed and later her body was set on fire.

It is to be noted that the victim girl is a resident of Howraghat.

Earlier, agitated locals demanding the arrests of the culprit family members of Sadhan Chakraborty gheraoed Howraghat Police Station, but, the police officials denied registering any case on the matter as the incident was reported in Lumding.

Later, a case was registered at Lumding Police Station, but no action was initiated, alleged the locals of Howraghat.

On Tuesday, several people staged out a candle light march to protest against the gruesome death incident of the poor minor girl.

The angry groups of people were pacified only after assurance of swift action by the police.

Furthermore, officer in charge of the Lumding said that police investigation is currently on and appealed all "not to make it a communal issue."
