Adityaraj Sarma From Guwahati Wins 3 Gold Medals In World Power Lifting Competition

Guwahati: Adityaraj Sarma, aged 21, from Guwahati grabbed three gold medals at the recently held World power lifting competition by World Power Lifting Competition (WPC) at Bishkek, Kyrgystan.

The competition was organised on the November 13th, 2021.

He won three gold medals under 90 kg junior full Power Lifting event, under 90 kg full Power Lifting open category, and under 90 kg junior category Deadlift only event.

At 85 kg, he had to do 200 kg squats, 120 kg Bench Press, and 240 kg Deadlift, totalling 560 kg in drug tested category.

Currently, Sarma is pursuing MA in history from Delhi University. He also passed out from Ramjas college, Delhi university with first class in history honours.

Prior to winning gold at the WPC, earlier he a had also won the national gold in powerlifting held at Bangalore this year.
