ASJA holds workshop in Sivasagar

GUWAHATI, Aug 30: The Assam Sports Journalists Association in association with Sibsagar Commerce College, Sivasagar on Tuesday organized a workshop on sports journalism and its significance in modern journalism. The event was held at the Sibsagar Commerce College.

The workshop was organized as part of the ongoing year-long Centenary Celebration of Sports Journalism in Assam. Prominent Neo-Vaisnavite Satradhikar Lakshmi Kanta Mahanta was the Chief Guest, while Principal of Sibsagar Commerce College Saumar Jyoti Mahanta was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. ASJA President Subodh Malla Barua, Secretary Imtiaz Ahmed, Vice President and Sports Journalists Federation of India Treasurer Bidyut Kalita and President of Jorhat Press Club Diganta Buragohain also attended the function.
