Assam Boy Mayank Chakraborty clinches National U-17 Chess title

Guwahati: State chess prodigy Mayank Chakraborty clinched the National U-17 Chess Championship title which concluded at KIIT, Bhubaneswar today.It is the first occasion when a chess player from Assam win the National U-17 Chess Championship title. Mayank scored 8.5 points in 11 rounds and finished champion while Harshid S and Harsh Suresh, both from Tamil Nadu, finished second and third respectively. Earlier in 2019 also Mayank won the U-11 national chess championship title.
