Assam postal Carrom team beaten in final

GUWAHATI: Assam Postal Carrom team bagged runners up title in the 25th All India Postal Carrom Tournament which concluded at Lucknow yesterday. In the men's team championship event Assam team defeated Chattisgarh (3-0), Punjab (3-0), Karnataka (2-1) in group league matches. In semi final Assam won against UP by 2-1 and in the final lost to Tamil Nadu by 1-2.

Players represented in the Assam team were JoykantaKalita, Akhlash Ahmed, Parag Kr Das, ChanekyaSarmah, manager- KingshukBhattacharjee and coach- BijoyMazumdar.Women team members: BaishaliBordhan and NibeditaGogoi (secured 6th position in singles).
