Assam Sports Journalists' Association To Confer OIL-ASJA Sports Award Today

GUWAHATI: The Assam Sports Journalists' Association will confer the OIL-ASJA Sports Awards 2022 in a function which is scheduled to be held in the city on Thursday. The awardees are as follows: RG Baruah Best Sportsperson Award: Nayanmoni Saikia (Lawn Bowls). NN Singha Best Junior Sportsperson Award: Astha Choudhury (Swimming), Nurul Amin Best Team of the Year: OILFC. Pulin Das Lifetime Achievement Award: Balendra Mohan Chakravarty (Sports Journalist), Special Jury Award: Amlan Borgohain (Athletics). Assam Sports Journalism Centenary Year Scholarship: Shahil Dey (Chess), Priyanuj Bhattacharyya (Table Tennis) and Upasha Talukdar (Gymnastics). All the awards carry trophies, citation and cash award.
