Assam's Lovlina Borgohain Among 11 Athletes Nominated For Khel Ratna Award

New Delhi: Assam's Lovlina Borgohain has once again brought pride to the state by being nominated for the prestigious Major Dhyanchand Khel Ratna Award 2021. 

Lovlina Borgohain is among the 11 athletes in India whose name was nominated for the award. The list was released by the National Sports Committee on Wednesday.

Apart from Lovlina, Olympic gold-medalist Neeraj Chopra, captain of India's women's team Mithali Raj and footballer Sunil Chetri has been included in the list of nominated athletes for the Khel Ratna Award. 

The National Sports Committee has also released the names of sportspersons nominated for the Arjuna Award. A total of 35 sportspersons have been nominated for the award which includes cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and shuttler Suhas LY.
