Barak, Subansiri win in Assam T20 Challengers Cricket at Judges' Field

GUWAHATI: Barak Bravehearts and Subansiri Champs registered convincing victory in the Assam T20 Challengers Cricket at the Judges' Field here today. Barak thrashed Kaziranga Heroes by 7 wickets while Subansiri Champs won by four wickets against Dihing Patkai.

The highlight of the day was a five-wicket haul by Subansiri Champs pacer Pritam Das, Dihing Patkai's batsman Rahul Hazarika and Subansiri Champs batsman Nasir Ullah's half century in the second game.

Pritam dominated with the ball and took 5-15 in his four overs spell while Rahul faced 44 balls to score 51 with the help of four boundaries and one six. Nasir Ullah faced 47 balls and hit six boundaries on way to score 55.

Brief scores: Match 1-Kaziranga Heroes 88 (in 18.2 overs), Hrishikesh Tamuli 26, Pritam Debnath 19, Akash Sengupta 3-9, Nipan Deka 3-19. Barak Bravehearts 94/3 (16.5 overs ), Ishaan Ahmed 35, Sarupam Purkayastha 19.
