INDORE: Guwahati’s Bhumika Kaushik and Prachi Mazumder continued their dazzling form as they progressed to the semifinals of the 4th 11SPORTS Inter-School National Table Tennis Championship and assured Maria Public School of a medal with a victory over Learning Path School of Mohali, Chandigarh here at the Abhay Prashal Sports Club.
Maria Public School’s Bhumika set the pace as she raced away to a 3-0 (11-5, 11-3, 11-6) victory over Sehaj Preet Kaur. Prachi then followed suit as she breezed past Pelf after a minor hiccup in the third game (11-5, 11-6, 9-11, 11-3). The pair from Guwahati then combined to beat Pelf and Siya Bedi 3-1 (9-11, 11-5, 11-4, 12-10) and assured themselves of at least a bronze medal.
Elsewhere, in the junior girls’ team event, Delhi Public School (DPS) of Assam also moved into the last eight with an easy 3-0 victory over St. Joseph’s Institute from Goa.
