Big win for Gauhati Town Club in Premier Cricket

Guwahati: Gauhati Town Club (GTC) made winning start in the Assam Premier Club Cricket Championship defeating Titan Club by 6 wickets at the Judges Field here today. Opted to bat, Titan Club bowled out for 143 in 37.4 overs. Rajdeep Das, top scorer of the team, contributed 44 runs from 68 balls with the help of five boundaries. AkashSengupta and Gokul Sharma picked up three wickets each. Chasing 144 runs to win Gauhati Town Club didn't face too much problem and reached the target within 20.4 overs thanks to a nice batting from Dhruv Borah who scored quick 56 from 39 balls and there were six boundaries and four sixes in the innings.

DHUBRI: DCA Dhubri 161 (21.2 overs), Ruhul Amin Ahmed 43, Biju Das 31, Aryan Sheikh 4-32, New Gadadhar Club 143 (20.2 overs), NurAlom Ali 38, Joshim Sheikh 5-29, Raju Khan 3-30. Result: DCA Dhubri won by 18 runs.

TEZPUR: New Friends Club 191 (30 overs) SantoshPodar 50, AjoyGhosh 35, Abdin Islam 3-36; Sonitpur Club 193/6 (22.5 overs), Tarbej Khan 81no, MijanurHaque 39 no. Result: Sonitpur Club won by 4 wickets.
