BERLIN: Borussia Dortmund returned to winning ways after coming from behind and reaping a 3-2 victory over Stuttgart by courtesy of the goals from Jude Bellingham, Marco Reus and Ansgar Knauff at the 28th round in Bundesliga on Saturday.
The "BVB" caught the better start into the game as Mahmoud Dahoud's 20-meter hammer called Stuttgart goalkeeper Georg Kobel into action with 14 minutes gone.
The opener was scored at the other end of the green, though as Borna Sosa's pinpoint cross met Sasa Kalajdzic, who nodded the ball over Dortmund custodian Marwin Hitz in the 17th minute.
Stuttgart had the chance to make it two at the half-hour mark, but Tanguy Coulibaly headed just wide of the target for all that.
Dortmund pressed forward but lacked in accuracy while Stuttgart remained dangerous on fast breaks.
After the interval, Dortmund grabbed a fairy tale start into the second half as Giovanni Reyna teed up for Bellingham, who made no mistake to slot home the leveler from inside the box in the 47th minute.
The pendulum swung towards Dortmund and the visitors turned the tides five minutes later when Mateu Morey's square pass allowed Marco Reus to curl the ball into the top right corner.
Erling Haaland left another chance unused after pulling wide from a promising position at the hour mark.
Stuttgart responded well and squandered a golden chance for the equalizer in the 67th minute when wide-open Coulibaly missed the target from five meters.
The hosts were able to level the scores moments later though as Moray's misplaced pass helped Daniel Didavi to restore parity from the edge of the box in the 78th minute.
However, Dortmund wasn't done with the scoring and responded with youngster Knauff, who drilled the winner from 16 meters into the bottom right corner to shock Stuttgart.
With the win, fifth-placed Dortmund maintains its chances for a berth in UEFA Champions League; meanwhile, Stuttgart slips to ninth. Agencies
