BERLIN: Borussia Monchengladbach suffered its sixth straight defeat after Ruben Vargas, Marco Richter and Andre Hahn were on target to secure Augsburg a 3-1 victory in the curtain-raiser of the 25th round in the Bundesliga on Friday. The Foals dominated the first half and wasted a penalty, but clinical Augsburg left no chance unused in the second half and extended Monchengladbach's losing streak. "We invested a lot into the game, but the result is of course disappointing. It is too easy to score goals against us. We find ourselves in a tough period," said Monchengladbach head coach Marco Rose. The following matches are scheduled for Saturday: Werder Bremen host front runners Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg face last-placed Schalke, Mainz play Freiburg. IANS
