SANTIAGO: Former Barcelona and Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was among 24 players named in Chile's squad on Thursday for a friendly against Bolivia.
The 37-year-old, who currently plays for Spanish side Real Betis, is one of three Europe-based players in the 24-man squad. Uruguayan manager Martin Lasarte also included Bologna defender Gary Medel and Real Valladolid forward Fabian Orellana while teenagers Clemente Montes and Daniel Gonzalez were called up for the first time.
Scheduled for March 26 in the central Chilean city of Rancagua, the friendly was swiftly arranged after South America's next double-header of FIFA World Cup qualifiers were suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic.
It will be Lasarte's first outing as Chile's head coach, having replaced Colombian Reinaldo Rueda in February. Agencies
