CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma urged for award, bust in memory of Pulin Das

GUWAHATI: A five-member delegation of the Pulin Das Birth Centenary Celebration Committee met Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma at his office chamber yesterday and submitted a memorandum urging a state award in the name of Pulin Chandra Das, noted sport personality and legendary sports journalist. The delegate also urged upon the Chief Minister for installation of a bust of Das at the Nehru Stadium premises.

Kalyan Das, the secretary of the  Birth Centenary Celebration Committee, in a release said that the Chief Minister, while receiving the memorandum, assured the delegation to look into the matter with proper discussion at the state government level.
