BCCI Release Updated Lineup For 3rd ODI Against Bangladesh After Rohit Sharma's Injury

NEW DELHI: While fielding in the second ODI, India Captain Rohit Sharma was struck on the thumb. He was evaluated by the BCCI Medical Team, and at a nearby Dhaka hospital, he underwent scans. He would miss the last ODI since he took a flight to Mumbai for a specialist consultation. Later, a decision regarding his availability for the upcoming Test series will be made.

After the first ODI, fast bowler Kuldeep Sen complained of back tightness. After being evaluated by the BCCI Medical Team, he was told to skip the second ODI. Kuldeep has been given the go-ahead to withdraw from the series due to a stress injury. Deepak Chahar, a fellow fast bowler, suffered a left hamstring strain during the second ODI and is now out for the series.

Now that their injuries are being managed further by NCA, Kuldeep and Deepak will both report there.

Kuldeep Yadav has been added by the All-India Senior Selection Committee to the Indian team for the third and final ODI.

In the third one-day international against Bangladesh, the following players will represent India: KL Rahul (C), (WK), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Shreyas Iyer, Rahul Tripathi, Ishan Kishan (WK), Shahbaz Ahmed, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, and Mohd. Several injury situations are looming for the Indian cricket team, and after the second ODI, only 13 players remained. As advised by the BCCI medical staff, captain Rohit Sharma will return to Mumbai after being forced to miss the third ODI due to a thumb injury.

Deepak Chahar will be returning home after sustaining a hamstring injury in the second ODI. Due to a stress injury, Kuldeep Sen, who performed admirably in his first ODI in the first game, was unable to participate in the second ODI. He is also no longer eligible to play for the Indian cricket team.
