MUMBAI: The Board of Contol of Cricket in India has announced the match schedule for the Indian Cricket Team for the upcoming three months. It has mentioned that Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Australia will visit India in 2023 making it a very exciting start of the year for Indian cricket fans.

Fans from Guwahati are also expecting pre-Bihu celebrations as the ACA Stadium in Guwahati will host 50 over match just three days ahead of Bihu on January 10.

The home matches of the Indian Men's Cricket team starts early this year as neighbours Sri Lanka takes them on from January 3 to January 15 in three T20 and three 50 ODI matches. Mumbai, Pune and Rajkot will be host the T20 matches on January 3, 5 and 7 respectively. After that ODIs will be played on 10, 12 and 15 January in Guwahati, Kolkata and Trivandrum respectively.

The Men's Cricket team of New Zealand will be the next on the line to compete with India just after the departure of the Sri Lankan team with a series of three ODIs and three T20 matches. The tour for the New Zealanders will start in Hyderabad and move to Raipur and Indore thereafter. The dates of these matches are January 18, 21 and 24 respectively. T20 matches will follow the ODIs with Rachi, Lucknow and Ahmedabad as venues on January 27 and 29 and February 1.

The legendary Border–Gavaskar Trophy will be the tournament on the line with the Australian Team visiting India. These series will consist of four test matches hosted in different stadiums of the country. The first will be on February 9-13 in Nagpur, following this will be 2nd one from February 17-21 in Delhi. The third match will be played from March 1-5 in Dharamsala while the last one will be from March 9- 13 and played in Ahmedabad.

The Indian team will be under huge pressure in these matches as they have been performing way below the expectations since the T20 World Cup where they crashed out in the semis. Followed by a bad performance against New Zealand as well as Bangladesh. They still have two test matches in the schedule this year against Bangladesh from December 14 to 18 and December 22 to 26.
