Hamilton: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday fined the West Indies women's cricket team 40 per cent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate against India in their Women's Cricket World Cup match at the Seddon Park on Saturday.
Top-order batters Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur hammered centuries as India emerged triumphant over the West Indies by 155 runs in the third match of their campaign in the tournament. While Smriti hit 123 runs in 119 balls, Harmanpreet slammed 109 in 107 balls apart from the 184-run partnership, rescuing India from 78/3.
