Wicketkeeper-batsman Kunal Saikia to lead. Assam in Ranji trophy Cricket

GUWAHATI, Dec 8: Assam Cricket Association announced its squad for the first two-game of the forthcoming Ranji trophy Cricket. Wicketkeeper-batsman Kunal Saikia was named captain of the team.

Assam will start their campaign in Ranji Trophy with a home game against Saurashtra. The match will kick off on December 13. In the second game, which will also be held in Guwahati, Assam will face Delhi from December 20. The other opponents of Assam in the group stage are Hyderabad, Maharashtra, Mumbai, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Mumbai will also visit Guwahati to play their group stage game which will be held at the Nehru Stadium. The squad: Kunal Saikia (cap), Subham Mondal, Rishav Das, Riyan Parag, Sib Sankar Roy, Swarupam Purkayastha, Gokul Sharma, Avinav Choudhury, Siddharth Sarmah, Abhishek Thakuri, Akash Sengupta, Sunil Lachit, Mrinmoy Dutta, Mukhtar Hussain and Rahul Hazarika.
