Dibrugarh boy clinches Gold Medal at National Arm Wrestling Championship

Dibrugarh: Dibrugarh boy Monoj Debnath brought laurels for Dibrugarh by clinging gold medal at National Arm Wrestling Championship held at Goa from May 18 to 20. He won the Gold medal in both right and left hand in 63kg senior men category.

A total of 18 states from India participated in this massive event which was inaugurated by Goa's tourism minister Manohar Ajgaonkar.

He was also selected for World Arm Wrestling Championship which will be held in France on September, 2022.

Speaking to The Sentinel, Monoj Debnath expressed his happiness and said he has done lots of hard work to win the gold medal. "I want to dedicate this gold medal to my parents, well-wishers and my coach. I have done lots of hard work to win this Gold medal. I am also happy that I have been selected for World Arm wrestling championship which will be held at France in this year".
