Manchester: Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani has been
suspended for three games by England's Football Association (FA) and fined
100,000 pounds for using a racial slur in an Instagram post in November.
Cavani will miss Friday's Premier League game against Aston Villa, the Carabao Cup semi-final against Manchester City and the FA Cup third-round tie against Watford. All matches are to be played at Old Trafford.
Cavani had used the word "negrito" to thank a follower who congratulated the striker for his performance in United's 3-2 win in the league over Southampton on November 29. Cavani had scored the winning goal in stoppage time. IANS
