BUENOS AIRES: The celebrations of the Argentinians are far from over. As the winners of the Football World Cup 2022 reached the capital of their home country, lakhs of fans took the celebration to the streets. This led to the disruption of the planned parade and the national team had to be evacuated.

The original plan was that the team would go on a parade in an open-top bus along a planned route through the capital city after the team reached the city. The team arrived at 3 AM on Tuesday and started the planned tour but it was soon disrupted by crowds of enthusiasts breaking the ranks to reach their stars. Reports claim that at the time of disruption, there were more than 400000 people on the streets.

Videos that became viral across social media show multiple fans jumping off a bridge to board the bus ferrying the players. One of them can be seen managing to board the bus while another one falls directly into the crowds.

Following the uncontrollable crowds of fans, the head of the football association announced that the team could no longer continue with the planned tour. He also apologised to the fans for not being able to execute the parade as the helicopter arrived to evacuate the team from their bus. The players did travel across the city but took the aerial route instead of the road. A team member, Enzo Fernandez shared his photo in a helicopter travelling over the crowds.

President of Argentina, Alberto Fernandez had declared a national holiday to mark the event. Celebration of people across the country was shared across several websites. The conditions in France, the runners-up in the competition are exactly the opposite. Riots and fights broke out across the country after the results of the final match.
