GUWAHATI: Nagaland Police will face Delhi FC in the final of the 68th Bordoloi Trophy Football Championship here on Sunday. Nagaland Police today earned the final berth defeating India Club, Silchar by a solitary goal. The other semi final was a one sided affair and Delhi FC defeated United Chirang Duar FC by 4-0.
Both the semi finals were held today at the Nehru Stadium in presence of a good crowd in the gallery. Nagaland Police scored the lone goal in the 5th minute of the game through Lima Kumzuk. India club created a few opportunities but failed to capitalize the single one.
Meanwhile Delhi FC, studded with a couple of foreigners, played attacking brand of soccer in the other semi final and pumped in four goals to the opponent net. The side opened their account on 32 minutes through captain Krishna Pandit and was leading by this solitary goal in the lemon break. United Chirang conceded three more goals in the second half and those were scored by TR Singh, Laiwang Bomkai and Karandeep
