Four players in top places of 5th KNSMI inter school children chess

GUWAHATI: Four players Abhirup Saikia, Jisha Jain, Prakash Nath and Raktotpal Kashyap are in lead in various categories of the 5th Kailash Nath Sarma Memorial Invitational Inter School Children Chess here today.

Abhirup Saikia of Delhi Public School Guwahati is leading the class 5 to 8 category with 5 points from 5 rounds. In the Below Class 4 category Jisha Jain of Royal Global School is on sole lead with 5 points from same number of rounds. In the Class 9 to 12 category, Prakash Nath of Guwahati Commerce College and Raktotpal Kashyap of Kendriya Vidyalaya Khanapara shared the lead with 4 points each after the end of the 5 rounds.

Altogether 114 players from various schools from Assam are participating in this three-day chess event organised by Snehabandhan and Assam Chess Club.
