Guwahati Chess Junior And Women Concluded At South Point School

GUWAHATI: Guwahati Selection Chess Championship-2022 for Junior and Women concluded at South Point School, Barsapara here yesterday. Guwahati Team for the All Assam Inter District Chess Championship will be selected from this competition.

The tournament was held in Under-7, Under-9, Under-11, Under-13 Under-15 in both boys and girls and women categories.

In the Under-7 Boys Category Prachurjy Changmai got first position by scoring 3 points. In the under-7 Girls category Dhanyata Goswami bagged the title by scoring 4 points.

In under-9 Boys Aarohan got first position by scoring 5 points and Ritisha Mayra Rajbongshi got first position by scoring 3.5 points in the girls section.

In under 11 Boys Tanmay Rajbongshi won the title with 5 points and Tamanna Sarma bagged the girls title with 2.5 points.

In under 13 Boys category Himanish Sharma (4 points) got first position and Afsheen Afsha Zaman, bagged 5 points, emerged champion in the girls category.

Shubham Bhattacharjee won first position in under-15 Boys with 3.5 points and Risha Bujar Baruah clinched the women title by scoring 2.5 points.
