Heirok HS School Win Subroto Cup

NEW DELHI: Heirok Higher Secondary Imphal won the 61st Subroto Cup International football tournament Boys U-14 title after beating Barway High School, Gumla, Jharkhand 2-0 in the final at the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Stadium here on Thursday.

The winners received their trophies from Chief Guest Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari AVSM VM, Deputy Chief of Air Staff, Nirmal Chettri, former Indian team footballer was also present as Guest of Honour.

The 61st Subroto Cup now moves on to the Girls U-17 tournament which begins on September 19, with the final scheduled for September 28. IANS
