Jwngbla Guides Sunrise To Victory In Football League At Nehru Stadium

GUWAHATI: Sunrise Athletic Club made winning start in the R G Baruah Super Division Football League at the Nehru Stadium. here today. In the opening game of the competition Sunrise defeated Maharana Club by 3-1. Striker Jwngbla Brahma scored hat-trick in the match.

The first half of the game was well balanced and the score was level 1-1 during lemon break. Jwngbla put Sunrise ahead in the 33rd minute and Dipankar Das returned it in 38 minute. In the second half Sunrise put more pressure and were also successful to pump in two more goals. Both the goals was scored by Jwngbla in 59 and additional time of the game. Meanwhile Narengi SC took all 3 points in the Jibeswar Goswami (Gopal) A Division Football League today as SAI SC gave walkover.
