Kaziranga Heroes, Manas Tigers earn full points in Assam T20 Challengers Cricket

GUWAHATI: Kaziranga Heroes and Manas Tigers won their respective matches in the Assam T20 Challengers Cricket at the Judges' Field here today. Kaziranga Heroes beat Dihing Patkai 21 runs in the first game of the day while Manas Tigers won the other game by 8 wickets against Subansiri Champs.

Chasing 143 runs to win in the second game the two openers of Manas Tigers Pallav Kumar Das and Nihar Deka made the game a one sided affair. Both the batsmen scored half century in the innings. Pallav took 42 balls to score 72 runs (4X8, 6X3) and his partner Nihar Deka played 49 balls to score 51with the help of 6 boundaries.

Earlier rode on a nice half century from Sahil Jain (67, 51 balls, 4X4, 6X4) Subansiri scored 142 in their 20 overs.

Brief scores: 1st game: Kaziranga Heroes 156/4 (20 overs), Amit Sinha 44, Denish Das 44, Pritam Deb Nath 27, Dihing Patkai Riders 135/7 (20 overs), Sib Sankar Roy 46, Abhishek Thakuri 28, Danish Ahmed 21, Ranjeet Mali 2-23, Dasarth Kumar 2-42.

2nd game: Subansiri Champs 142 (20 overs), Sahil Jain 67, Kunal Saikia 24, Mrinmoy Dutta 3-28, Abdul Aziz 2-21, Manas Tigers 143/2 (18.4 overs), Pallav Kumar Das 72, Nihar Deka 51, Romario Sharma not out 19.
