AIZAWL: Lallianzuala Chhangte, the talented footballer from Mizoram, has been crowned the AIFF Men's Footballer of the Year for the 2022-23 season. This prestigious accolade comes as a result of his exceptional contributions to both the Indian national football team and Mumbai City FC.

Representing India in a total of 12 matches during the 2022-23 season, Chhangte showcased his skills on the field, leaving a lasting impression. Within those 12 appearances, the Mizoram native managed to score two goals and provide one assist, displaying his offensive prowess and ability to make an impact in crucial moments.

Chhangte's remarkable performances extended beyond international duty. In the Indian Super League (ISL) of the same season, he emerged as the highest-scoring Indian player.
