Rome: AS Roma had more ball possession, but it was Lazio who created genuine chances and won the highly-anticipated Rome derby with a comfortable 3-0 victory here on Friday.
Lazio broke the deadlock in the 14th minute as Roma's defender Roger Ibanez was caught in possession in his own box, and Manuel Lazzari set up for Ciro Immobile to drill home.
The Aquile quickly rode the momentum nine minutes later, it was Lazzari again who stood up as first after a collision with Ibanez, pulling back for Luis Alberto to place a snooker-shot.
Alberto sealed the win in the 67th minute as the Spaniard curled into the net from the edge of the box.
With its third consecutive win in Serie A, Lazio temporarily moved in to seventh place, while Roma ranks third, and Juventus is fourth with two matches in hand. Agencies
