16th World Dragon Boat Championship: 4 State players win medals for India

GUWAHATI: India collected four medals including one gold in the 16th World Dragon Boat Champi-onship held at Rayong, Thailand from August 7 to 13. Seven players from Assam were part of the Indian team and four of them were successful in winning medals. India won gold medal in the Paradragon Mix Small Boat category in 2000mts where Sahidul Islam from Assam took part. Rupen Rabha and Raju Ahmed, both from Assam, were the part of the Indian team which one silver medal in the Paradragon Mix Small Boat category in 1000mts. Janmoni Mili was the other player from Assam who collected a bronze medal participating U-24 small bot category in 500mts.
