All India LIC Games begins at Sarusajai Sports Complex, Guwahati

GUWAHATI: All India LIC Games 2019-20 got under way at the Sarusajai Sports Complex in the city today. The Game will be concluded on October 15.

Around 450 players from different parts of the country are participating in the meet. The opening function was attended by MR Kumar, Chairman LIC, V. Sah, Executive Director (CC), K. Sahdev, Executive Director (HRD) and DK Bhagat, Zonal Manager, Eastern Zone. During the four-day event, players will contest in Carrom, Chess, Badminton, Volleyball, Table Tennis and Athletics. Several star performers including Arjun Awardee Gurmeet Kaur (Athletic- Javelin Throw) , International Athletes P.S Primesh (800m), Sunil Goswami (Javelin throw) Anju Mariam Jose (400m), Hemashree (100m Hurdle), are participating in the meet.
