ASEBSC Earn Tight Win Vs Gauhati Town Club (GTC) In Soccer League

GUWAHATI: Assam State Electricity Board Sports Club (ASEBSC) registered a hard fought 2-1 victory over Gauhati Town club (GTC) in the GSA Super Division Soccer League match held at the Nehru stadium here today. All three goals of the match came in the first half.

ASEBSC looked more positive during the early stage of game and the side made series of attacks which finally paid dividend. The match was only eight minutes old when Maneshwar Musahary put his team ahead with a nice header from inside the box.

Gauhati Town club also played brilliant soccer today and and on many occasions they put their opponent on back foot. After a couple of attempts they were finally successful to score the equalizer in the 25th minutes converting a penalty. Ritik Pathak was fouled inside the box by a defender of ASEBSC and referee awarded penalty to Gauhati Town club. Binan Singh didn’t make any mistake to convert it into a goal.

The last goal of the match came in the 37th minutes and this time it was Hiteswar Hazowary who scored the goal to give ASEBSC lead again which also ensured three points for his team.

In the second half both the teams played attacking soccer and came close to score but neither team were able to change their score line.
