GUWAHATI: Assam Body Builders and Fitness Association (ABBFA) once again appealed to the Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to give relaxation in Gym during the lockdown period. According to them the activities of the gym can be done maintaining proper social distance.

The general secretary of the Assam Body Builders and Fitness Association Bhabajyoti Goswami talking to The Sentinel said, "Gyms are not a public place like shopping mall and only members are allowed to enter. So we can easily run the gym maintaining necessary social distance."

Goswami added: "The State Government has already given relaxation to different sectors which play an important role in our daily lives. Now a days, the gym is also an integral part of our lifestyle. It helps in maintaining good health and also gives employment opportunity to many youths. So we request the State Government to consider the matter."

It may be mentioned here that recently Assam Body Builders and Fitness Association submitted a letter to the Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and requested him to allow the gym to open. They assured to follow all norms set by the Government to combat COVID-19.
