Assam Chess Club will organize 4th Guwahati India Open from Dec 25

GUWAHATI: Assam Chess Club will organize the 4th Guwahati India Open Online International Chess Tournament from December 25. The championship carries total prize money of Rs 10,00,000 and will be held as a mark of respect to the birthday of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the legendary former Prime Minister of India. Around 1500 players from across the world are expected to participate in the meet There will be a total 5 categories in the tournament- Category A (Grandmaster Open), Category B (Below Rating 2000), Category C (Below Rating 1600) Category D (Open Bullet) Category E (Rapid) and is open to all players of the world. The event will be played on the popular chess server lichess.org and will be broadcasted live worldwide.
