GUWAHATI: A team of Assam Cricket Association, led by its Secretary Devajit Saikia, visited Dima Hasao district yesterday. The main aim of the visit was to develop cricket in the hill district.
During the visit members of the Assam Cricket Association met Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member of North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) who is also the President of the Dima Hasao Sports Association, a few Executive Members of NCHAC and office-bearers of Dima Hasao Sports Association, Haflong and Garampani Sports Association, Umrangso.
In the meeting Assam Cricket Association announced that it will develop a new cricket ground along with a pavilion and all modern facilities in Umrangso, besides upgrading the existing cricket facilities in Haflong. The treasure of the Assam Cricket Association Tridib Konwar, was also part of the team which visited Dima Hasao District.
