Assam emerge champion in North East Zonal Shooting Championship

GUWAHATI: Assam emerged champion in the 6th North East Zonal Shooting Championship which was held in Aizwal recently. Assam bagged 20 gold, 11 silver and 5 bronze in the competition. A new record was also created by ace Shooter Nisha Baishya in 10-meter ISSF category by Scoring 590 out of 600 in paper targets. Apart from Assam, the participants from Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Services also took part in the meet.
